The World Championship entry fees are 165 GBP for each competitor and team manager, and 30 GBP for each official helper. A formal protest will require a fee of 25 GBP.
Open event and Sunrise-Sunset entry fees are set at 25 GBP for each competitor. For these events the protest fee will be at 10 GBP.
Tickets to the Banquet are set at 30 GBP.
A press pass will be available free to accredited members of the press. This will allow the holder controlled access to the flying area for the whole period. Press passes must be applied for in advance to the event manager mike@mproctor.demon.co.uk.

The entry fees must be paid in Pounds Sterling (GBP), by bank transfer, with all costs borne by the issuer. The bank transfer details have been provided on a separate form with full instructions in Bulletin No 2.

Visas

Visas are required by some countries. See http://www.fco.gov.uk/servlet/Front?pagename=OpenMarket/Xcelerate/ShowPage&c=Page&cid=1057658458048
Nominal invitations will be provided to help with visa applications once the official entries and fees have been received. Note that we must be informed of ALL persons travelling, not just the competitors.

Biographical details

Biographical details and photos should be sent by email to George Shering, George.Shering@btopenworld.com as soon as possible, for inclusion firstly on the website, then in the competition documentation.

Open Events and Sunrise-sunset

Full details of entry for the open events must be sent by email to George Shering, George.Shering@btopenworld.com and must include name, class, National Aeroclub membership number, and preferred frequency from the list. We reserve the right to specify the frequency if the one you propose is not suitable, first come first served. Note that the Open F5B and F5D are for individuals, so the flying rota will take no account of teams. The only way of ensuring separation is to use the same frequency.

A space has been made available on the official entry form for names of entrants in the Open Events. This is primarily a convenience for payment. If the entrant is a world championship competitor then I will know the FAI Licence number. I will assume the world championship frequency, and assume the class will be F5B for gliders. If this is not correct, ie a different frequency or a different class (F5F or 7-cell), then I must be informed. If the competitor listed in the entry form is not a world championship pilot then the details must be sent separately by email as in the paragraph above.

Entries are welcome separately and individually, as are reservations for the banquet. Payment must still be by bank transfer to the same account given in Bulletin No 2. Note that all costs must be paid by the issuer (you). To save on bank charges several payments can be grouped on one transfer. Please indicate the name(s) on the bank transfer, and send an explanatory email to the treasurer Mike Proctor, mproctor.demon.co.uk

The deadline for entry to the Open F5B and F5D is 19th July. But payment must also be received and notified to us by the bank by this date also. A deadline for Sunrise-sunset has not yet been set, but frequency allocation is already in progress.

Awards

Awards of FAI-Medals and Diplomas will be made to competitors and team managers in the two world championship categories as stated in the rules. Organisers awards will be made to the first three individuals and the first three teams in both World Championship categories. All competitors, team managers, and helpers will receive event souvenirs. Organisers awards will also be made to the first three individuals in the Open International competition and to the first three teams in both Sunrise-Sunset categories.
