PIERMARIO CAVAGGIONI
I started aeromodelling many years ago at the age of about 8 at a local club (Biella). Now I am 32 years old. I believe I fly little bit better. I look a little bit older but I’m really more charming! In all these years I flew in several categories like F1A, F2A and the F5F category in which I won 3 Italian championships. In 1999 I started F5B and I got 3 second places at the Italian championships. In 2000 I qualified for the Italian national team as helper and went to the world championship in San Diego. The result was a surprising rank 3 as a team. At the 2002 world championship in Wintherthur I didn’t achieve an exciting rank. Several things which could have gone wrong went wrong. Anyway I’m looking forward for the 2004 Championship in York to get a fantastic result, both individual and as a team. I’m really happy to be in the Italian team: great people, great pilots and a sweet team manager. What could I ask more? A gold medal could sound good! REMO FRATTINI
I started aeromodelling many years ago at the age of about 12 at a local club (ex MG Maennedorf) with the help of very friendly club members. Now I am over 29 years old. I fly much better (at least I hope so) but I also look much older. In all this years I flew in several categories like F3A, F3C and F5F but nothing interested me so much as F5B which I started back in 1998. Very soon I got pretty successful. In 2000 I qualified into the Italian national team and went to my first world championship in San Diego. The result was a surprising 5th rank in the individual score and rank 3 for the team result. At the 2002 world championship in Wintherthur I achieved a "disappointing" 9th rank. Several things which could have gone wrong went wrong. Anyway - new try new luck. Let's see what 2004 will give to us. The Italian team is a great team with great people and I am very confident about our skills. Some other achievements are: top ranks in Italian F5B and F5F national championships as well as on the European level. In my professional life I am a lawyer at a district court in Zurich If you have any questions, you can email: illusion@freesurf.ch |

ALESSANDRO MOSSA
I started aeromodelling many years ago at the age of about 7 at a local club of Sardara, a very small village in the centre of Sardinia Island with the help of my father. Now I'm over 40 years old. Today I'm flying as in the beginning but still looking very young too. In all this years I flown in categories F2B, F5F and finally F5B which I started in 1994. Unfortunately due to my finger I never got pretty successful. Introducing in F5B as the first pilot the Aveox brushless motor with gearbox. In 2000WC of San Diego we got rank 3 as team result. At the 2002WC in Wintherthur it was a disaster, everything which could have gone wrong went wrong. Anyway .......let's see what 2004 will give to us. The Italian team is a great team with great people and I am very confident about our skills. Some of my other achievements are top ranks in Italian F5B national Championships. | CLAUDIA LANINO TUCCI
Since 2000 I’m the team manager of a crazy, funny and creative “team of guys”. I’m the least experienced of the group: I started aeromodelling only 6 years ago, so my story is very short and not as interesting as the other pilots’. I’m 32 years old and I’m an aeronautical engineer. But the most important thing is that I LOVE MY CRAZY TEAM! If you have any questions, you can email: c.laninotucci@tin.it |
